Red face I need help deciding bad

Ive been looking for the best laptop out there for 3 weeks now, not very extensively i barley get time for myself these days. I have looked at HP Pavilion and they are an eye catcher for me. Ive also looked at compaq and acer. Its a difficult decision. What im looking for is a computer that can play games on the side and still be good for college. So what is a good performing laptop... that doesnt break easily?
