Im not positive about what all Aperture does, but Adobe lightroom is a very good RAW processing and post-prod program. Then theres always photoshop which is the standard. Check out lightroom.

Corel PaintShopPro Photo X2 is also a very good program for the same price as Elements. Either one would be a good choice.

Capture One Pro by Phase One is alot faster than Lightroom, its perfect for convertuing RAW Files, download the trial here. Plus I use Photoshop CS3 for after RAW conversion.

Adobe lightroom and Adobe photoshop make an excellent pair. I use Lightroom for minor tweaks and cropping, and Photoshop for the more advanced stuff.

Same here. I think lightroom is plenty fast enough and the interface is very nice!
