Default How Much Power Can a Generic 500 W Power Supply Really Deliver?

http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/534/1
For those who just want the summary: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/534/6

An interesting article by Hardware Secrets which outlines some of the dangers of generic PSUs (and buying PSUs by wattage alone).

Note that aside from the stability problems mentioned, the levels of ripple/noise reported can easily cause damage to connected components in the long term.

As Sealed Stick was removed, lost or damaged, it shall be out of warranty validity.
