All I know is you are supposed to have x2 the size flash drive as what your ram is in order to get effective results. The minimum required space is 256mb! Anyways, it cant be as effective as a clean startup!

It helps, but it's not as good as actual RAM.

Definitely not going to hurt.

yeah im using my 2gb flash drive for ready boost. all 2 gb of it.

havent noticed a difference. but i dont really expect to. vista ultimate uses up 500 mb ram usually. so i have 1.5 gig not being used..

It's only $10!! When it comes to flash drives Brand DOESNT matter. I am not going to go out to CC and pay $20-30 for a 2gb flash drive.
