Default New ATI 3830 to compete with 9600GT.

I have heard news that they are coming out with a 3830 to compete with the 9600GT. Apperently the 3850 is below and the 3870 is on par. What is up with that.

It's pathetic.even 3850 512m has been blowed away by 9600GT.

The 3850 and 9600GT are almost on par, what do you mean "blowed away"?

The 3850 is not even close to the 9600GT. http://lly316.blogspot.com/2008/03/g...n-hd-3850.html

Actually the 3870 and the 9600GT are very similar 1% variation according to this. http://www.techspot.com/article/88-g...70/page10.html

So he's right, the 9600Gt does "blow away" a 3850 and its faster than a 3870 if you use AA.

Nvidia ftw!lol thank you bigfellla for the technical link.

however in my place 9600GT 512MB still costs 185 bucks while you can buy 3850 512MB with 155 bucks.so I think the price is gonna be the point.

9600GT performs as good as HD3870, not HD3850
