What is your favorite? Why? Favorite genre for LAN parties?
I'll start, I primarily like RTS games, simple learning curve and easy to get into. I have been thinking about sins of the solar empires for the next one I go to, hopefully people will want to play it!

i havent done it yet but me and some friends are planning a supreme commander tournament with about 20 people that will take place over a weekend. theres a convention center that rents out areas for private use and they are DIRT CHEAP. we got a quote for 97 dollars for friday from 6pm until sunday at 3pm. anyone on the boards would be welcome to come play with us... i dunno what they call it, but we are doing a tourny where two people play, winner advances, two winners play winner advances, etc etc
so if you lose first round youll be hanging out for the rest of the weekend. should be a blast though. ive never been to a lan before so im pysched.

Favourite genre would have to be FPS's. Simple to set up and you can go around fragging your friends! But RTS's and Coop RPG's are also good.

Being a host, I mainly host FPS'. But any game is welcomed. Its usually CSS, TF2, and COD4 on the PC. And the Halo Series on the Xbox.
