Default cd rom/burner problems

so heres my problem
I got a new computer well not new computer its a used new computer...
it was reading that i had my cd rom in but not my burner and so i ****ed around and fixxed it endin up had to open her up and the thing wasnt plugged in....blah blah all in all i burnt 4 dvd's and now it at the moment it is not saying i have a cd rom or cd burner what goes any help would be good thanks...

I would say check for driver/firmware updates on the manufacture website if you can find it. If not, just go out and buy a new one, they are cheap now days. You can get a decent one for $25-30.

Go out and buy a new one... they are that cheap now and get one with lightscribe. Here in Aus you can get one from the cheap computer shop for $30!!!

if u think u will use it, i agree get lightscribe. i bought a ls burner...and itso much of a hassle to burn the damn image. i just take a sharpie to it.
