i think its more for cad work?

ahhh. it was advertised in the bottom of the page with the features of a gaming card so i assumed it was one.

woops.

so, it was like the fx5500 a while back that costs also as much.

yeah im sure its for cad or something as it says workstation and they usualy are over $1000.

Yeah, the FireGL cards are CAD cards, used for rendering and such...

danny have you seen the max power draw for that ati card? 225 W

yours draws 145W which is nice to know eh?

105W for mine.

As others have said, thats a CAD/workstation card. The 9800GX2 would be MUCH better in gaming.
