Default 2nd mem stick doesnt work

I just finished building my comp and everything works fine with only 1GB stick in it. When I put the 2nd 1GB stick in I dont get any visual, is there something I have to do in BIOS in order to get the 2nd stick to work?

Heres my mobo and ram:

Sounds like a bad dimm in the kit you ordered. You may want to contact the vendor about returning the pair for a replacement kit since you received one defective.

Have you tried the 1 stick thats not working by itself to make sure the stick of ram is bad. Dont send the ram back till you know its bad, theres a posibility the board could have a bad slot. Like I said try the stick that you think is not working by itself first.

clear the BIOS then add the ram, see if that helps. you can run http://www.memtest.org/ to test the stability of the ram

Yea I tried the other stick and it doesnt seem to work. I remember putting both in and getting picture but that was while I was having problems with computer. I will try to request RMA and get a new pair but im thinking about another set of RAM.

Im getting a little ticked off with newegg since I had to wait a week already to get my mobo back because they sent me a bad one. Now Im having RAM trouble and on top of that my PSU has gone out 3x so far in 1 weekend and ive had to smack the top of my comp case (gently )
to get it to turn on again ><.

That G Skill you picked out is 2gb set of 4bg total. As far as your P/S is your computer just shutting down or is this from a cold start.

Some other alternatives are seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2508081&name=4

OCZ, Corsair, Kingston, Crucial are all top name brands seeing a lower price even. If you are seeing the system starting after striking the top of the case that suggests a loose connection maybe even loose contact inside the mian power plug of something isn't plugged in fully.
