vk3fcll, have you actually used Vista? I've found Vista just as stable as XP, if not more stable.
Edit: According to the poll you posted, taking "Fantastic", "Good", and "It has it's advantages" as the positives. And "A lot of faults", "Gone back to XP", and "Never would try it"(these people shouldn't even be able to vote because they can't give an unbiased opinion) as the negatives. More people are in favour of Vista: 45 people voted positive, and 15 voted positive. That's a 3:1 ratio.

What is it with this this VistaSux mania anyway? Vista gets on my nerves every now and then, it is incompatible with a quarter of the programs I use, and sometimes it's just so damn slow it drives me nuts...but that's what everyone said when XP came out. Yet now everyone seems to just love it (XP). 5 years ago I coulda bashed Bill Gates coz of XP, now I'm a bit smarter...in a few years time, hardware has been improved, updates are out and it runs perfectly stable and fast as (Well, as stable as Windows can...), everyone is happy. And when Windows 7 comes out, eveyone is hoping to get a chance to assasinate Gates coz of it, and people stick with the good'ol Vista like they do now with XP...
I'd say Vista, simply because XP is getting less and less support...people are starting to complain about lack of drivers and so on, on the long run you'd probably be better off with Vista (If it has to be Windows, that is). Again, it's a matter of opinion...
