There are usb to 5.1 convertors. But the point is you just want it work or want it work with high quality of sound.

Well to get full 5.1 surround you need a 5.1 sound card obviously. You say your computer doesn't have one, so you'll need a usb external 5.1 sound card, either with an optical out for the z5500s, or the 3 mini-jack outputs (plus that cable came with the speakers so you save yourself a couple of quid, but it's just all a bit messier!)

This is the only way you can get true 5.1

Thumbs up

I had the same problem... i had a motherboard with no 5.1 sound and then i had to go out and buy one.... so for temparoray use i got a couple of spliters and out of the one port i had small surround and bass..... now the best thing to do would get an external USB 5.1 Sound card....

Is this just going to be used for home use?
