Seemed fast. An E6750 @ 4.0GHz would smoke it.

But I get what you're saying, it probably was a very good CPU, was it easy to OC?

If he wants to use macintosh on his pc he will need specific hardware. If ya are go for these (some guy used it on his hackintosh and got it smooth)

1. Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P v 2.1
2. BIOS: Latest
3. Chipset: Northbridge: P35 Express Southbridge: ICH9R
4. Built in LAN: Realtek 8111B
5. Built in Sound: Realtek ALC889A codec
6. Processor: E8500 45NM 3.16
7. Drives: 150 Raptor 10k SATA (you really should get this drive, its so fast), Seagate 500GB 7200K SATA
8. Optical: LITEON SATA DVD
9. RAM: G.Skill 1000MHz 4x4 8GB
10. Graphic: ATI 3870 - Saphire
11. Add on 8169 PCI LAN card.

I hardly doubt you will require the 8gb of rams so change that to two or four.

It'll be super easy with a great OCing motherboard, and expensive thermal paste + cooling...
