Can someone tell me how to stop running some of the applications before they start on my PC to make my computer run faster. I want to know if there is something more than just ctr alt deleting then going to end processes. Is there something out there?

Start>Run> and then type "MSConfig" (No quotes)
Go under the startup tab. Just disable the things that aren't necessary. (QTTASK, iTunes Helper, etc.) Be careful what you disable! some are necessary. If your unsure of some, just post back with the name.
