Up to 2 GB of DDR2 667/800 MHz soDIMM SDRAM (dual-channel support on two soDIMMs)

http://global.acer.com/products/desktop/spec/AS.pdf

One quick trip to the manufacturer's site to look over the specifications seen for that model indicate 2gb as the maximum amount meaning 1gb dimms per slot with only two slots apparently.

M5100 or L5100? You'll note there was no letter before the number. For the M not L where you end up no matter model you choose you are then pointing at a totally different model

Up to 8 GB DDR2 533/667/800 MHz SDRAM (dual-channel support on four DIMMs)

I was going to ask you about that since a 2gb max. seen on the model didn't make sense for your question. The L5100 is the first model seen when arriving at the one specifications page. Gee? They couldn't spend on individual pages for different models?
