Default New build gone wrong

I got my stuff in today.I installed the Intel processor on the motherboard, plugged in all the power jacks,HD and DVD drive and NOTHING>not a single blip or light anywhere

Where do I start?
Is there a way to test the power supply to see if its bad?

Here is my set up.

Pardon is this seems extremely 101-ish and if you've checked already, but is the PSU itself turned on via the switch on it?

Plus are you sure you have the Case Power Switch plugged into the right pins?

Its a 24 pin connector and there is only one of them on the board.

No the case Power Switch, not the 24 pin power connector. Theres a wire from the front of the case that most have P/Switch or P/S or Power/SW that plug into the motherboard pins
