Unhappy Just installed memory, now computer doesnt work

Sorry for the new thread, this is a different question...

I just installed a stick of G.Skill 1GB 184 pin DDR RAM. Brand new from Newegg. I took my computer to my garage, and I used compressed air to blow the dust out like I always do, then I insalled the chip in the 2nd bank. I have 4 banks, and the 1st and 3rd are filled up with 512mb chips. Im not new to harware changes, I have built four computers and been changing computer hardware for a few years.

Everything worked fine until I installed the new chip. There was no power to the computer, and I grounded myself and touched the metal on the outside to get rid of any static.

I took the computer back upstairs and hooked everything back up. Turned on the computer, and it started up for about 20 seconds, then shut off automatically. Unplugged it, then tried it again. Same thing. Took the new ram out, then tried it again. This time it started for about a minute (saw the windows XP screen) then it shut off. Grrrrr...unplugged box, took both 512's out, installed the new 1GB chip in every memory bank. Same thing happened for each time. Took out the 1GB, tried a single 512. Monitor did not come on, comp just stayed "busy" with nothing else. Every memory config that I tried, does not work. I have yet to get the comp to boot up like normal.

The thing that makes me worry is that my old 512 chips do not seem to work like normal.

ANY ADVICE will be greatly appreciated! I hope I am just looking over something that maybe you guys can thing of.

Nevermind, I got it working!

Basically, I decided to pull the plug and reset the CMOS1, and it worked!
