Different RAM
I have 4 ram slots on my motherboard. At the moment I have platinum ocz ram (good enough), I only have 2gb with vista 32bit and loads of memory hugging applications. My computer is quite slow. I looked into lowering my latency timings but as there is such a small performance increase I decided against it.
But anyway, the question. Can I have 2 slots with one type of memory and then have the second channel with cheaper memory. I know for performance this is probably stupid. I was thinking of buying the lowest latency ram under €30 on ebay. Is this stupid?
