you've given no information, a crap photo I can't see anything from, and you won't do the obvious thing and try it on another computer. If computer sounds work the rest of the time then it's extremely unlikely to have anything physically to do with your card. you recorded it off tv onto dvd yeah? Does it play back on the tv? Am I missing something here? Write in plain, straight english.

Audacity is fine, I know loads of people who use it. Have you tried another program? Come on there must be thousands of them on the net.
