I went out today and got crysis. I have been playing it on my hp and it looks great but gets a little schechy and choppy when im running or moving around. The hp has a Q6660 3 gigs of ram and a 8400 GS Nvadia Video card. I wondering what I can do to improve the performance of the game. I am guessing it is the video card but advice would be appreciated.

Yes it's the video card. Crysis is a VERY demanding game. If you want better game play you'll have to buy a new graphics card. HOwever that may also lead to a need of a new power supply as your stock hp PSU is probably not very powerful.

What hp you have? I have the a6228x. Mine only has a AMD 5200 though. I put a new power supply in and a vid card. Man the stock hp case is tight! Make sure you get measurements of the psu before you buy. My psu almost hits my sata connector on the back of my dvd drive.

Yeah, it's the graphics card that's holding you back there. I doubt you're running out of memory. I doubt you'll need a new power supply but it's always worth checking, do you know what your power supply's output is?

I'd say get the 8800 BFG OC'd version and you should definitely see a diff. i bumped up from 8600 to this one and Yes the +200 difference in model is very small impression for the first look. AND CRYSIS RULES!! the bullet path graphics are insane
