Default How to remove windows boot manager?

I have XP Pro and Vista Home.
Now my system is very slow becos of vista, so i removed it(Vista).

When i had both the OS , i start the system with 'Windows Boot Manager' to select between XP and Vista.

After removing the Vista there is only Windows XP, but i still get the 'Windows Boot Manager' with Vista and Earlier version of Windows (i.e., XP) as the selection options when i start the system.

How to remove this windows boot manager?

I want to get straight XP.

Please guide me.

i never have edited mine really. look around, http://vlaurie.com/computers2/Articles/bootini.htm

if you want a "harder" way of doing it you can go into recovery console off the XP cd and re install the boot loader and manager. that should give you the corect settings. I have no idea how to do that also.

You need to remove the Vista bootloader by running the command with the Vista DVD in a drive.

Go to “Start” and “Run”. Type in “e:\boot\bootsect.exe /nt52 ALL /force” (without quotes, and replacing e: with the drive letter of your Vista DVD).

Should take care of it for you!
