Default Help needed please

Hi all. Basically i have a desktop pc in my office connected with ethernet to my router in lounge and also a laptop with a wireless card plugged in. I have broadband from bt and have also wired ethernet sockets into most rooms from the router. I use outlook express for my email (yahoo) and problem i have is that the emails i send from my laptop are not stored on pc outlook and vice versa. Also when i send emails it wont connect to the smtp server. If i keep trying then it eventually does. Also if i do something on word on my laptop i then need to email it to another email address and open it on pc so i can print it in the office. If i set up a network would all emails then be on both pc's ? and could i access all files from each? How would i sort this out? Many thanks in advance
