All sound is high pitched

Hello

I have a Compaq Deskpro running Windows 2000 professinal. The sound card is an intel 82801BA. I downloaded and installed the drivers for it after installing the OS. Now all the audio is high pitched.. it kinda sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks, maybe a bit lower. I also installed the K-Lite codecs and that didnt work either...

Can someone please help??

the audio is speed up and mad high i never figured out exatly what did that i just download WMP 11 and i haven't had the problem since. you useing wmp or what

The same happens to me, I play any sound at all and it's high pitched but not speeded up, just high pitched, it's not the speakers as I've tried different ones

the audio is playing with a differnt bitrate then it was record i belive

thats the part i never figured out it played fine in the program i recorded in and i played in that till wmp11 came out and that fixed it. try redownloading your player
