Default Quick Memory Question

I have a notebook that still runs on DDR, and I'm looking to get to that 2GB limit as cheap as I can. I found this one stick on ebay advertised as "PC-2700 for Apple Powerbook G4", and I'm thinking PC-2700 is PC-2700 so it will work in my HP. Am I right, or am I wrong?

Yes, I'm using PC-2700 right now. Also if anyone has a deal, I'm interested. I just need a 1gig stick.

Also, just for my info, I have the ATi Radeon Xpress 200M chipset and I was wondering if it supported dual-channel.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I know apple used to use propriatary RAM a while back, but I'm pretty sure it's all standard anymore. Technically, any DDR RAM (NOT DDR2) should work in that machine. So if you find PC-3200/DDR400 desktop memory, you should be fine as well. PC-3200 is a bit more common and sometimes available for less.

As for dual-channel, I can't really find anything stating if it is or not, so I'm guessing it's not.

The xpress 200m is for AMD Athlon/Turion/Sempron 64 laptops so dual channel or not will be from the CPU.

At one time Apple RAM was ECC. Last I had heard that was still the case. No?
