Default contacted a computer store and told me this sound card is good OPIONS

AuzenTech Auzen X-Fi Prelude 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card

any thoughts on this as i have
logitech z-5500 speakers and
hp pavillion a6235x pc with vista amd

cost for the sound card is 188.00

Yup it's a very nice card. It's based off of the X-fi chip, with a couple adjustments.

Its a fine card, but overly expensive for me. That card is really impressive though.....

Nice card but what you want it for m8, have a look at the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer 7.1, 24meg

That card IS an X-fi, and then some. Auzentech added/modified some of the things that X-fi users have complained about.

just want to listen to music from cd's on computer or youtube and also sound for watching sports on the net
