Default Router Testing?

My ISP keeps dropping out, and I think it's on their end, but just to eliminate any router problems, whats an effective test I can perform on my router to show if there are any problems with it?

If you can see this, you have WAY TOO much time on your hand. Or you're a mod going through my sig. But if you do, copy and past this in your sig.

Well if its randomly dropping, to my knowledge you cant really do much to trouble shoot other then trying another one. If it was completly out I could give you a list of DOS commands to test your network. Try replacing things and see what happens.
