Weird
My status bar disappeared, look under my name.
 anyone else, doesn't bother me, just thought it was weird, all I did was change my email.EDIT: as soon as I post this it's back

its happened to a few of us on the boards... same thing as you, we all changed something in our control panels and the status bars vanish.
do you believe in unexplainable phenomena? i do.
