Default the country/state you live in

i see a lot of people from different places. i'm almost 25 and one thing i want to do when i get older is travel, to a lot of the places some of you guys live in. just thought it'd be interesting to post up where you live, what kind of scenery and things to do around the area are, and how much you like it possibly even compared to other places.

for me i live in dallas, tx. i went to college in austin, tx, and i lived most of my life in savannah, ga...those were two memorable places to live and a lot of people recognize those two places on a map. austin was great, but savannah was better--beaches nearby, great tourism, lots of culture. wish i still lived there actually. i lived a stint of my life in the oldest town in texas, but backwoods east texas--nacogdoches, and also in mississippi for a while, both of which were pretty awful places.

Get on 35E and head over to Lewisville. Nothing much here haha! I spend most of my free time supporting a local band, and I'm in a car club that meets once a week.

Anyone been to South Padre? I'm going there for my honeymoon later this month, can't wait.

France, country of good food and beautiful scenery. It attracts the most of the tourists.

Take the time to go in the Alpes and in the Vercors, incredible scenery.

Portland, Oregon. Most parts of portlandia are great, Redwoods, forests, wildlife, clean air, just plain ol' great outdoors. Unfortunately we're living in a tiny apt. in the suburbs at the mom'. Fortunately there's a fairly large nature park not a mile up the road. Fox and deer, great view as it's situated on a butte, little stream running through it. Around 40 miles away is Mt. Hood, of which I haven't visited in a couple years.

Great state, bad location. 2 years back we lived in a lower part in the valley, in the middle of the forest/countryside. Owned a couple acres, with a large stream running through it. Great place.

Good luck with the traveling bit, something I want to do as well.

Richboro, PA. A suburb of philadelphia mostly consisting of russians and jews. Nice scenery around here, new homes, nice landscaping, yata yata yata.... As boring as it is, i love this place. i dont really want to leave it.

Šibenik, Croatia. Šibenik is located in south Croatia in a region called Dalmatia. That's the most beautiful part of Croatia with over 1185 islands and is a great tourist destination.
It happened a year ago when some American newspaper pronounced Croatia as the number 1 tourist destination, describing our national parks ( Krka, Plitvice, Mljet, Kornati...) very well. Even Tom Cruise was in Dubrovnik in south east of Croatia with his large yacht
I wouldn't brag too much, I really think Hawai and Carribians are better destinations, as well as Monaco and Paris... but Croatia...is truly beautiful place.

i've seen some of the photos you've posted in the past and have always wanted to know where you live. that place is just beautiful man. are you a native or were you born somewhere else? after reading up on it @ wikipedia it seems like a great place to live or visit.
