Default Password Protect Folder

Hi guys is there any way in Windows XP Professional to password protect a folder? Basically I do not want anyone to be able to access it unless they have the password and the folder cannot be deleted. What I mean by this is if someone decides to delete the folder it will not allow them to because they do not have the password or something like that. I remember seeing a free program that will encrypt and also password protect the folder however I do not recall what the name is. Another thing, this program has to be free.

Thanks

Would Folder Lock make no one delete the folder unless they know the password?

You can try Folder Castle software by MagneticSoft. Folder Castle is a security tool that protects your files and folders with a password, preventing unauthorized users from accessing them. Folder Castle hides and encrypts your confidential and sensitive files and folders on your computer.
This tool has simple interface and it is very easy to use.

Does Folder Lock not just make a folder in your C: directory that you can get into without a password anyway? I know i've found away round Folder Lock.

It gets annoying but it saves alot of space! Can cut the space of files in half depending on the file type. Winrar is great though!!
