Default Anyone heard of MS Office Ultimate 2007 for $60??!!

I got to share this deal!

My friend bought MS Office Ultimate 2007 for $60! I just bought mine last night, but you have to be a college student. The next best thing is the Home Use Program, but only big companies get this. Nevertheless, I can't believe I am getting a $700 package for 10 times less!

If you are a college student, then you qualify. Microsoft says 0.5 hours of class load?! Ha!

Yeah, I heard about this a few months back. At least some people are getting Office 2007 for about what it is actually worth.

I'd still stick with OpenOffice though. You're getting a $700 package for ten times less, but you're still paying $60 more than you should or need to.

from what i have heard, the $60 only lets you use it as long as you are a student. If microsoft requests proof of enrollment, and you are no longer a student, you get charged the full price.

I am not 100% sure on this, i know that microsoft requires proof of enrolment, but it may be that they only require it at the time of purchase.

Microsoft sends the download link via an email to an .edu address. They state they may ask for a proof of enrollment, i.e. a transcript.
