Unhappy Problem installing vista on my new PC

Hi all,

I just got a new PC , no OS installed.

I have done clean installs on PCs before but only ones that had already had a OS on previously.

My PC is :

Intel CORE 2 QUAD Q9300 10Ghz Power PC

With nVidia 8600GT 1024MB SLI

8GB DDR800 RAM

ASUS P5N-E SLI DUAL PCI-Express Motherboard.

THe PC came with the drivers for the motherboard etc.

I have tried installing these but the CD doesnt load, and i get black screen after bios screen saying sysmgr missing press crtl+alt+del to restart

I do so and it comes to this again.

I have tried inserting my vista CD. It loads up, and gets to around 48% expanding files, and then the dreaded blue screen comes up.

it says :

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Technical Information:

*** STOP: 0x0000000A (oxFB07D354, ox000000FF, ox00000001, ox804E2E41)

That is as far as i have got.

Now on the bios screen also when i am booting it up. It says NEW CPU... Bios update required to unleash its full potential.

Can anyone help me with a guid of what to do .

Thanks for your help in advance.
