Yeah, my soundcard (See Sig) had some wierd setting where the Microphone was muted by default, once I un-muted it, the settings worked like they used to.

i have a good sound card and i would have a look in the driver or user the motherboard mic input because in volume control you can put onto the mic signal and make is a lot louder.....
