Question Cyber Snipa Headphone issues

Hi, I have recently bought a Cyber Snipa Sonar 5.1 Headset and i can hear things great, but when i came to using the microphone on skype it would either not work or would just stop the speakers and just let the microphone work. I did get a message showing that the USB bandwidth has been exceeded... would this be something to do with it? I beleive it did work on msn for a short while.
Many thanks, James
