Default good benchmarking applications besides 3dmark?

like the title says, what are some other benchmarking applications besides all the 3dmark series? so is 3dmark pretty much the most popular and standard benchmarking tool?

if im going to benchmark, is 3dmark06 sufficient or would i want to use 3dmark03 and 3dmark05 also?

You are going to see lower scores in 06 but everyone does b/c the score scale is different. 06 is alot better for sli setups!

most people use 06 so its much better for comparing results.
what g25 ment was not that its for people with sli... but that it is better then the rest when used to benchmark sli setups. (i think)

so basically 06 is the way to go

3DMark06 is currently the newest version, and if your computer supports at least DX9.0c then I would use that, if it doesn't then I would go with a previous version such as 05 or 03. 3DMark06 isn't just for SLI setups though, it's for any computer that has DX9.0c or higher.

As for other benchmarking apps, there are a lot of system benchmarks out there that also test RAM, hard drive, etc performance. Example programs would be PCMark (same company), Performance Test, and several others are out there as well.
