Hello all,
I'd a laptop with 98, no network card installed, i was trying to install a D-Link USB Adapter( Wireless), but it needs IE5.5 or higher, so I want to download it on my local PC, burn it to a CD, then install it on the computer so that I can be able to install the wireless.
I'd searched the Microsoft site, but the download size of the file is only 490 KB, I don't think that its the complete version of IE6, I need to download it on its own without the need of Internet to able to complete the download, any help?

Sometimes it doesn't need the internet - try and see if you can download the file and then go and install and see what happens - you might find it won't need the internet to complete the download.

you are not getting the point of the matter. it does not require internet, but it does require a higher version of IE such as 6 +.
Well sometimes with old computers i usually bring along my norton antivirus cd. because on it there's a folder called Support-->MSIE.
MSIE is IE6 located on the cd, so i use that.

yeah and the OP is right, its a problem getting IE6 online cause the setup is only KB, means its a partial installer that will go on the net to download the needed components, which in your case u dont have internet access.
