Default I just bought a cpu but the fan

I just bought a cpu but the fan keeps starting and stoping in shorrt burst(so does my psu. also my monitor says no video. i just bought a desktop with all the hardware seperatly and it sucks that it w

its everything, the power ledlights are on with the fan for wo seconds but then it turns off. ame with the cpu fan. the case fans dont even move and the dvd player doesnt even turn on. the ddr2 led lights tun on and off too. thats why im thinking its the psu, i dont think i couldve screwed up everything.

I had a fan that did that once, too. I entered BIOS and disabled the SmartFan option (cuts the fan back according to CPU temp). Try that then save the settigns and see if it smooths out.

If its the arctic freezer 7 then it will do that unless you change setting bios mine did that.

Some of you guys have Dream PC's as in PC's ill own only in my dream..LOL but wow the PSU is alot do you really need all that power, with the cost of Energy, i think a 500W is enough... but I think you should try some tweaks in the Bios because everything looks fine in my opinion...
