Question converting video file

hi all,

i downloaded a video file yesterday neithor my computer or dvd player will play it. the file is in Divx format. what can i do with this file to make is so i can view it on my computer and then also burn it to dvd to watch on my tv?

to burn it to a DVD use nero7 press make own DVD video add that file an it will burn it in DVD format.
to watch it on your computer download divx codacs an play through Windows media player.
or just download VLC player that should play it.

yeah i tried downloading the codecs i downloaded avi, divx and xvid and it still would not play in media player. i think it might be a dodgy file, i imorted it into one of the programs and it showed the duration of the file as 00:00:00 and said something about not containing a video file. i don't know what it contains it appears to be 720MB of nothing!

download klite codec pack and or vlc

if they don't play it then it's fake porn

haha fake porn... its meant to be the new step up movie!

so once i download that CCC pack i don't have to do anything else? media player should just play and, and if not then theres something wrong with the file?
