ok, i cloned my laptop harddrive and placed in a desktop
i knew there would be some issues to begin with and i have resolved most of them.

but i have 3 drivers that i just cant install/find,

-Ethernet Controller
-Multimedia Audio Controller
-SCSI controller (listed twice on device manager)

when i try to update the drivers it says it cant find them, even when it connects to the internet... =(
i dont know what version the hardware is or anything but really need the drivers...

also another question, a lot of my icons have been replaced with the little white ones (the ones that windows uses when it doesent recognize a file), but they all still work, why is this? it even has happened on the start menu, any way to change this?

whenever i open MS word i get a box saying "preparing to install" then it another box pops up and says "An error occurred and this feature is no longer funtioning properly. Please run setup and select 'repair...' to restore this application" but then after i click "ok" MS word starts fine! why is this? and how can i fix it?

and finally some programs wont uninstall, i get a message saying that it cant becuase it needs a file that is a network resource or something, or that it is unable to locate a certain file. any ideas?????

also please dont tell me to reinstall windows, as i dont have the cd, and i also dont have the MS office cd either =(
