i bought a usb cdrom and a usb floppy drive and didnt install the software driver so install aol running xp the computer crash and the message keep comming up the registry cant load the hive files
so i am trying to reinstall windows xp but my cd rom and floppy wont respond to the setup disk is there any way that i can get the floppy to read the setup disk

1. Why dont you install WindowsXP using the DVDROM that comes with the laptop?
2. There are four different disks required to floppy-boot WindowsXP... you're better off with the CDROM 3. I think you need to change the boot order to have the DVDROM checked before the HDD in the BIOS boot sequence
