Default So this processor only work on this motherboard?

So this processor

Intel Core2 Extreme QX9775 Yorkfield 3.2GHz 12MB L2 Cache LGA 771 150W Quad-Core Processor - Retail
Only compatible with Skulltrail (D5400XS) Platform
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115044

only work on this motherboard?

Intel BOXD5400XS Dual LGA 771 Skulltrail D5400XS Extended ATX Motherboard - Retail
Only compatible with (FBDIMM) DDR2 800/667 MHz
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121330

and is not compatible with this motherboard?(As seen on first link: Only compatible with Skulltrail (D5400XS) Platform)

EVGA 132-CK-NF79-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra SLI DDR3 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
The Ultimate PC Gaming Platform
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188025

Why is it so? EVGA did made up to its specifications to support 1600fsb right?
What would be the point of EVGA 790i Ultra with 1600fsb but is not compatible with intel QX9775 of 1600fsb?

Any gurus can explain this?

QX 9775 has a LGA 771 socket.
the evga mobo has a 775 socket.

This helps. You rocks.
Anyway, what serves the purpose of the evga 790i ultra board with 1600 fsb support? Apprently the QX9650 only has a maximum of 1333 fsb.

I think 1600fsb is there to allow more room for OCing, since fsb1333 MoBos may not handle higher frequencies very well.

it's more futureproof for instance. 1600mhz fsb cpu's are coming.

and it allow's for some more oc'ing like hackapelite said.
You can always oc your fsb but if your board can handle a higher speed you can obviously oc it higher than for instance 1333mhz fsb boards.
