Default Importing Image Sessions to DVD+R

I have a HP laptop,I can import images to a CD but not DVD+R.I did once one a DVD+RW but I can't figure out how to do it again.

I have two programs,Complete CD Maker that works good with CD's.I can burn to DVD's but it wont import.

Also have Burn4Free,I have overloaded several discs trying to import.

Is there a program thats easy to use, burns CD's and DVD's,will import image files after one has already been wrote prior?

Nero has been suggested at Best Buy,but I really dont wont to pay $100 from a program.
