Suddenly I am confronted with a red screen warning me of a malware attack and to click HELP, which brings up advertising for Anit Spy Spider, which I understand is malware. How do I get rid of it. Tried Spyware Detector, Zone Alarm, House Calls, AVG, all say i have no problems. Running Windows XP SP 2

Hey jimmywally, please follow these ditections:
Download Hijackthis. Install the program to the default directory. Run Hijackthis and select "Do a system scan and save a logfile". Copy and paste the log into a new topic here. Don't name your thread "Hijackthis log", name it as something descriptive to the problems you have. Give a description of the problems you are having, in as much detail as possible. Do not fix anything unless advised to do so. post in the security section of this website.

U sure it isn't just a Pop up from a website?
My sister saw that too... it was just a pop up from a website to promote their anti-spy ware program. If ur programs can't find it... you should be ok.

Try doing a system restore to about a week or so ago. That should get rid of it. Had the same issue with my grandma's and cousin's computers.
