You will need to edit the post again in order to put a space between the "http" and equal sign! You made a slight typo there!
![]() It figures it would be me to correct it here as well http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341002 since I am running the same model in the Antec 900 case at the moment. I don't run an 8800 here but I just lately removed an ide hard drive while still two sata models and two optical drives. You'll find that to be one of the better models with adequate power provided. A good alternative is the Corsair HX620 620w model as well as the GameXStream 600w.

Sounds like a Windows or possibly drive problem rather then the supply. Are you seeing any specific errors coming up?

I bought this psu for my computer too and so far it works great, well the second one did. The first was doa. I don't see any problems powering that system and your problems don't sound like they have anything to do with the psu. Make sure the cables are all connected properly to the mobo.

Sorry to hear about the first one at your end. Jhow But any make can see a few bad ones get out.
OCZ does have a great rep with the ocers however for being one that takes a pounding and doesn't wimp out on you. You'll have enough there even to run an SLI setup since they are generally well regulated supplies. The Corsair model was looked at as well for the present since that has an energy saving feature built into that one.

I had the ocz 700w for a e6600 overclocked to 3.8, evga 8800gtx, 2 hard drives, water cooling, sound card, and it worked great. The problem occured when I added a second 8800 gtx, the power supply just shut off. So if your looking to upgraded, this is not the psu for you. I now have the ultra x3 1000w, which works flawlessly.

Were you ocing the video cards as well? Once you start maxing everything out then you will pull any mid range supply down. There are several 600-700w supplies that will easily run the system specs Burn all posted earlier.

Any ide drive will go on as well as a sata model. If the system seems to run normally without the drive plugged in then assume a defective drive simply needing replacement.
If you are not planning any SLI and ocing everything in sight the 600-700w range is quite adequate for the hardwares you listed. For someone planning to crank everything with an SLI or Crossfire setup with additional drives/devices there you would start off with 700+, 850w-1000w+. There are also dual supplies seen as well.
