Default shellstyle.DLL oops!!

So I was messing around in vista with the theme and downloading custom DLL files for the present theme and didnt backup the default file so now my vista is kinda screwed up. Anyways the problem is I cant get the menu's to go away that are on windows explorer (like the file and edit menu). I dont like them showing but cant get rid of them. Even when going to the organize button and to layout, it says that menu's are off but really are on. I am thinking the file that i replaced modded that. Can someone upload the file located at windows/resources/themes/aero/shell/normal color ??? Can anyone suggest anything else to change it back???? I really want this fixed.

Ah, there is a feature on the Vista disk which repairs your install, maybe you would like to try that? Doesn't delete anything, but if that doesn't work, then id be out of ideas.

Ok srry to bring this back up again but, I just wanted to inform anyone with this same problem. Apparently it is some bug with vista. I found a solution FINALLY after some searching on Google (My best friend). Here's instructions and a link to the site that I found it at.

1. Close all explorer windows and ie browser

2. backup the following key in your registry,
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\

3. under the same registry key there will be two sub-keys, go to 'ShellBrowser' key and look for 'ITBar7Layout' and delete this key. (If you're having problems with IE menu bar just delete the same from the 'WebBrowser' Key, i also deleted other keys except the default key just to be sure, since in my case i removed all ie toolbars as trial and error)

4. Close regedit and open an explorer window and click organize, layout, menubar.

Glad you solved the problem. Just so you know, ZIP file attachments at CF are limited to 97.7 kb. The file you requested (shellstyle.dll, I believe) was over 400 kb in size...
