touchpad cannot use in Window Mode

My Aspire 5610 touchpad suddenly malfunction ,i tried to reformat and flash the bios again but it won't use.But the interesting part is the touchpad can be use in DOS MODE (Not in Safe Mode,i tried it cannot work too) Program like Partition Magic ,Norton Ghost ........Anyone could tell me why?

It probably needs a driver for Windows. I don't know how the original driver could have been un-installed, but it must have been somehow.

look at the fn keys on your keyboard. you probably have the mouse on lock. press fn and f7 at the same time to unlock it
