64bit will let you get the most out of your hardware!! Thats all you need to know. A bad thing is that not all apps are 64bit compatible. But eventually everything is going to be 64bit!!

i have vista 32 bit, is there any way to upgrade to 64 bit? i have alot of files that i need to keep, but no external hard drive or anything to store them on

theres not many pluses to 64 bit if you plan on using it as your personal computer. 64 bit does have its advantages because it uses your processor to its fullest but will you see much of a difference using 32bit applications? not really, smoother on multi-tasking, great on video, but overall, (i think) stick with 32-bit. has its pros and cons, and the decision is yours to make

Go to control panel and click system! It will tell you there. If you have a 32bit OEM version of vista, meaning it was installed on your pc from the manufacture and you didnt buy it yourself, then you can upgrade to 64bit but you have to do it through the manufacture of your pc. Supposedly the manufacture has to do it for you and you cant do it yourself!!
