Unhappy Grrr, help me - Fujitsoooo Craptop.

HI THERE
Ive got a crappy fujitsu amilo pro laptop ¬_¬ (Doesnt reccomend ever.)
And my hard drive wont boot up. My boyfriend removed it and added it to his computer and it works fine (booting up on his hard drive + having mine as an extra).
But the thing is, i want my things back & he's found half of my things (pics + docs)
but i want the music which was all (yes ALL 3000 of my tunes ¬_¬) saved on the desktop.
He tried to boot up frm my hard drive but it didnt happen, and when he searches for my desktop, whilst running on his hard drive, it doesnt find anything to do with music.
Is there any way of repairing the hard drive & still keeping my files? if not how else could i get my stuff back :'(
I think i'd be only too happy to send a farewell "R.I.P" Craptop.

- Stacey.

Well i wouldn't try doing it yourself but your friend seems competent enough.
try using ihavethepassword cd. You can download it from various places just google it. and then burn it.

Like before your friend needs to put the hard drive in his pc as an extra.

After that boot from the cd and run "slim rescue disk" from the menu.
After starting it (takes a while) you come into a menu.
Go to: Disk tools - other disk tools - harddisk regenerator 1.51
This program repairs you hard drive (attempts to) at the lowest level.
This takes a very very long time but you'll might find more files or even be able to start it from your own pc and backup whatever you want.
This is a short term solution, even if it repairs your hard disk it's dying on you. So don't keep on working on it.

note: laptops eventually die, don't blame the manufacturer of the laptop for it.
If you really want to blame someone blame the hard disk manufacturer.
