Smile does the amd quad core use more power then intels quads?

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...?EdpNo=3740794

i went here and it say it use 125 watts of power here while the intel q6600 uses 95 watts

ok if i build me a amd quad core computer i was wondering will i receive as big a jump performance from this system i got cuz i got a crappy celeron now like how much faster would a amd quad core be then mine will it be much faster then my single core celeron or would ir perform like having 3 celerons or 4 maybe

on this TD site it say that it gets 4 pipelines coming out of it so thats why i think i should get this for gaming instead of a core 2 quad anybody tried to overclock this new b3 series of quad cores if so let me know how well it overclocks can i get 3ghz or will i struggle to get much outta this will the price drop pretty soon since intel is gonna drop in price in a few days from now?

Better to go with an intel than this here processor. Yea it is true that most intels are less power consuming, which leads to lower temps.

Intel all the way,Im not a fanboy i would purchase an AMD again if they ever got their act together but i heard the Phenom had problems at launch which isnt a good thing.

seems to me they didnt do enough tests on the damn thing before releasing it

Intels seem to run very cool these days

Thumbs up k

thanks i think imma stick with intel then i never built a amd computer b4 i always wanted to but i'll wait til they top intel i guess was originally planning to build a intel but when i hard that amd's was a true quad core got a pipeline for each core and that intel only had 2 pipelines coming out it made me wonder which would be best for games so i think i made my decision now im just gonna wait for intels price to drop cuz i sure hate buying things and then the price drops a week later

The quad AMD is a train wreck, a total piece of crap. Don't waste your money. Do it right, buy an Intel, or find a new hobby. Seriously. God I hate those pieces of crap.
