Default Vista administrator privileges

Hello to all!

I have a question regarding administrator rights in Vista:

- I thick the "Run as administrator" box for some shortcut programs (via the right-click -> Properties -> Compatibility) on my desktop.

Every once in a while, the thick disappears and I have to set the "Run as administrator" again for all shortcuts.

Why does this happen?

I have Vista Home Premium installed on my laptop with following specifications:

Core 2 Duo T5550
3GB 667 MHz RAM
ATI HD2600 Mobility 512 dedicated RAM

Thank you for your help and best regards,

klemen

My only explanation is the shortcut changes or something is making it change automatically? Does it do it to that one shortcut, or everyone you set to admin level?

Sounds like user level issues. Since Vista did change a bunch of how users are by groups and permissions I am not too familiar with all the changes since I am not an avid Vista user.

One thing that is easy and takes little time to try is create another user account, and see if the problem still persists. If it does then it is with the OS, and if it doesn't then it is with your user account corrupting the preferences, if that makes sense to you.
