Default 5.1 randomly stopped working??

i have 5.1 logitec speakers, vista, and realtek HD audio manager. yesterday all out of now where my front right, center, front left and subwoofer stopped making sound but my back left and right still do. help!

what type of speakers do you have???

What sound card do you have???

have you tried reinstalling the driver????

Some games will reset your preferences for sounds...open the control panel and make sure that 5.1 speakers are enabled.

Also depends on what type of speakers he has....

Like the X 540's they have a matrix button that goes from 5.1 to 2.1 something could have gone wrong with the speakers.

or it could be something within the speakers... or the cable from computer to sub....... so test cables...
