I'll be using a new computer in a couple days and was wondering if I need to buy Windows XP professional again or can I just transfer it from the old computer to the new one. If not, is there anyway I can download it for free? I spent a little more then expected on my new PC and now I have no money left
and i don't get my paycheck for another two weeks |

No you don't.
I've registered my current XP key 13 times.

This depends, are you going to buy a brand, like Dell or IBM? If you are doing so, then don't worry, they come with windows installed and you already pay the price of it included.
If you are going to build your own PC from scratch, then you will have to buy windows unless your current windows copy is an OEM version, which you can use without any problems. This is the legal part of it ![]() |
